Spore Trap Lab

Mold Direct Exam

This category of test includes the viewing of spores collected on tape slides, swabs and bulk. We typically will view a 1 cm2 area on a tape. Swabs are rubbed onto a tape to view the contents. Bulk samples are viewed at low power (20-60x ) to determine areas that might contain spores or fungal growth. Then a tape sample is analyzed with the compound microscope at higher powers to identify the spore types.

We have used Air Allergen for all of our clients air sampling. We have a mold remediation company and depend on Richard Johnson and his staff for accurate and timely results. Richard and all the staff at Air Allergen did an amazing during a stressful home inspection. They provided extremely competent, detailed inspection services while having a great ability to educate us on the process and what the results showed. After a lung issue I had Air Allergen come to my home for air quality testing. We were looking for any items causing the lung illness. The representative arrived and performed testing taking samples. In a few weeks I received a detail report on the home air quality. In my opinion they did a good job and provided me with the information.
